National Bike Registry

National Bike Registry

After Months of me working with the Washoe County Sheriff’s Department and IVGID, I am proud to announce that the National Bike Registry (or NBR) is now available in Incline Village! Until now, if your bike was stolen and recovered, the Sheriff’s Department had no way of knowing whose bike it was. Now they will, but you need to Register it.
Once I found out we did not have a bike registration program, I decided to take it upon myself to implement it ASAP. It’s not so much the registry itself, as much as to deter theft even more if the thief’s think the bike might be registered.
Here is how it works:
Many stolen bikes are recovered by police but there is no way to identify the owner. With the NBR service, you can register your bicycle by serial number in their national database and apply the special label you receive to your bike. If your bike is ever stolen, it can be identified and you can prove ownership. Law Enforcement anywhere can access the database, advise the NBR that your bike has been recovered, and you can be notified immediately.
You can register a bike for a nominal fee of only $10 for 10 years, or $25 for a family with up to 5 bikes.
For your convenience I have enclosed a registration form. Feel free to contact me for more information, additional registration forms, or go to
In the coming Month’s I will be doing bike registration at my office on Saturday’s from 11am-1pm, Sierra Sotheby’s International Realty, where I am a Licensed Realtor, which is located at , 570 Lakeshore Blvd.
I also plan to be at various IVGID Venues, as well The IVGID Recreation Center and Tunnel Creek Station on particular dates/times or I will even come to your home to register your bike. Whatever it takes to get it done.
I can be reached on my Cellular Phone at 775-339-1144 or by email at
I look forward to helping you get your bike registered, and thwart bike theft in Incline Village.

Take a BITE out of Crime Don’t let it end up at a police auction!

Since 1984, the National Bike Registry (NBR®) has been working with law enforcement to return stolen bikes to their rightful owners. A bike registered with NBR, the only true national database, can be identified by police and returned to you instead of being sold at an auction.

Protect your bike and your investment!
Register your bike in the National Bike Registry. We will send you a Certificate of Registration and a tamper-resistant NBR label to identify your bike. Then, if your bike is ever stolen and recovered, no matter where, it can be returned to you.
